MOSCOW, Sep 29 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Promsvyazbank has not requested a credit line from the central bank to support liquidity, it is demonstrating client base stability and increased households’ deposits in September, a bank spokesperson told PRIME on Friday.
“No, we did not request that. The bank shows stability of its client base and liquidity in September even taking into account the worrying news flow in August,” the representative said.
Household deposits increased by more than 500 million rubles in September, and new clients account for 30% of the sum. The situation with funds of corporate clients is also calm, the spokesperson said.
In August, Alfa Capital analyst Sergei Gavrilov warned clients of the company about problems at Otkritie Financial Corporation Bank, B&N Bank, Promsvyazbank, and Credit Bank of Moscow. Since then, the central bank has launched financial recovery procedures at Otkritie Financial Corporation Bank and B&N Bank.
